A greenhouse in a country house or garden has long been not a luxury, but a real necessity. The ability to get early vegetables and greens has always attracted gardeners, but in recent years, various climatic troubles sometimes deprive any hope of growing a decent crop in the open ground. In general, the greenhouse on the site gives a lot of advantages, but also adds a lot of trouble. How to avoid unnecessary labor costs and maintain the soil in the greenhouse in a fertile and free from various pathogens, we will tell in this article.

Why soil is losing fertility

It has long been known that long-term growing vegetables in a greenhouse depletes the soil. Indeed, in greenhouses, as a rule, certain types of vegetables are grown that take the necessary elements from the soil for their nutrition. Crop rotation in closed ground is difficult, so there is no need to talk about the natural restoration of fertility.

It is believed that once every 3-4 years the topsoil should be replaced on greenhouse beds. But is it necessary to do this? Let's try to understand the problems of greenhouse soil, so as not to change one bad for another bad. Indeed, one cannot rule out the possibility that when replacing the new soil will turn out to be of poor quality, and the "native" pests and pathogens are likely to survive the replacement of the soil without significant losses.

As a rule, on poor soils (if we are talking about loss of fertility, then this is one of the indicators), plants do not receive any nutrients. This can be noted by the poor development of plants, delayed flowering and fruiting. Leaves usually directly indicate which element the plant lacks. Deficiency of phosphorus manifests itself in the form of a violet tint on the leaf plate, potassium in the “burnt” edges, nitrogen in the stretching of the plant. A more detailed description of the elements necessary for plants can be found in the specialized literature or on the Internet - this knowledge will help to understand what exactly the soil is lacking.

But soil fertility is not ensured solely by nutrient content. No less important is the structure of the soil. The fertile soil contains a sufficient amount of humus, has an acidity close to neutral (if we are not talking about growing plants that require high or low acidity), it absorbs well and, importantly, retains moisture, allows air to pass through, contains the necessary nutrients, bacteria and mushrooms.

The combination of all these conditions ensures the optimal structure of the soil and its fertility. It is from this soil that plants can easily get all the necessary nutrients.

How to improve the soil due to green manure

As we already said, crop rotation in a greenhouse is difficult to implement, but this measure can partially be replaced by sowing green manure - green manure. Different plants can be used for this, and their properties are different - some improve the structure and breathability of the soil, others fight diseases and pests, and others enrich the soil with useful substances.

After harvesting tomatoes, cucumbers and other crops in the fall or preparing a greenhouse for planting in the spring, you can sow a mixture of green manure, where:

  • oats - will improve the quality and structure of the soil, and at the same time enrich the soil with phosphorus and potassium;
  • mustard and oil radish - they will relieve pests and pathogens and give a lot of green mass;
  • spring vetch, lupine or clover - representatives of the legume family enrich the soil with nitrogen and contribute to the development of beneficial bacteria.

The grown green manure can be left uncut in the winter (in case they do not have time to bloom and give seeds), or it can be planted into the soil using a plane cutter or chopper. If siderates were not sown in the fall, sowing is carried out in the spring, as soon as the soil warms up in the greenhouse. Seedlings have time to ascend and grow up to the planting of the main crop. The grown grass is planted into the soil with the help of the Fokin plane cutter or a conventional chopper - you do not need to dig the beds. This technique will help enrich the soil with organic matter, and so that the decomposition process takes place actively, after mowing and embedding siderates, the soil is enriched with microorganisms.

Ekomik Urozhayny - an effective biological product

Modern microbiological preparations contain various strains of living organisms, some of which process organics, while others create forms of nutrients available for plants, among which are all necessary, and most importantly, compounds available to plants. These are nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and the necessary organic compounds (humates, amino acids, organic acids, growth regulators, plant protection inducers, etc.).

The Biotechsoyuz company, a well-known manufacturer of biological products, offers to use the Ekomik Urozhayny drug to restore soil in the greenhouse. With the annual use of this product, the soil structure will improve, “whiteness” will disappear and clay stickiness will disappear, and the accumulation of humus will give the soil a natural friability and dark color.

With the help of active microorganisms "Ekomika Urozhaynogo" the natural fertility of the soil will increase, which will manifest itself in many indicators:

• purification from chemical waste;
• disinfection from pathogenic microflora;
• decomposition of organic matter will accelerate;
• Soil nutrients will become more accessible to plants.

How to use Ekomik Harvest in greenhouses

For the effective use of this drug, saturation of the soil with organic matter is necessary. Useful microorganisms will turn organics into humus and further into salt chelates, and these are the most affordable forms for plant nutrition. Therefore, the more organic matter in the form of manure, mulch, sawdust and plant debris gets into the soil, the more humus will produce beneficial microorganisms.

A large amount of humus plants will not be able to use fully, and the mechanism of accumulation will start, and hence increase soil fertility. In addition, soil "prospectors" destroy pathogenic microflora, thereby cleansing and healing the soil.

The product is easy to use and economical. For use in spring or autumn, 100 ml of the product is diluted in 10 l of water (water should not contain chlorine, and the temperature should not be lower than +25 deg. C). When watering in a greenhouse, the approximate consumption of working solution is 1 liter per 1 m², in open ground 3 liters per 1 m². The watered surface must be loosened and slightly mulched.

Autumn processing is carried out at a soil temperature of not lower than 10-12 degrees. C, and in the spring 7-10 days before sowing seeds or transplanting seedlings. Compliance with these simple rules will ensure the activity and rapid reproduction of microorganisms.

"Ekomik Urozhayny" is available in convenient plastic bottles with a capacity of 0.5 and 1 liter. This environmentally friendly biological product suppresses soil pathogens and reduces the infection of the soil and plants with fungal diseases. Its use will ensure rapid growth and proper development of plants and will provide an opportunity to receive abundant, environmentally friendly crops.

In addition to soil restoration, Ekomik Urozhayny is successfully used:

• for processing seeds and other planting material;
• for the care of seedlings and indoor plants;
• for processing greenhouses;
• for faster composting.

Dear readers! If you have already thought about how to restore fertility to the soil without harming the environment and your own health, use the Ekomik Urozhayny biological product. Living bacteria, as well as a complex of biologically active substances and enzymes will help you significantly reduce or completely abandon the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Due to the restoration of the species composition of beneficial microflora, you will return to the soil the ability to renew and improve it and increase the fertility of any, even the most environmentally hopeless soil.
